On April 4th, 6pm the Dunaj Poetry Slam goes into the next edition at Akvárium Klub, featuring five aspiring artists from five countries!
This event thinks beyond the boundaries of country and language and celebrates them in a colourful explosion of multilingualism, promoting intercultural exchange and strengthening relations between neighbors. This modern literary competition promises a diverse, lively program, supported by the five-minute performances of national slam poetry champions and stars as well as the interaction of the audience which functions as jury. Only text and performance count, the language wins!
Poetry speaks not only through the meaning of language but also through the rhythm, sound and melody of voices, facial expressions and gestures of the body. The multi-awarded Austrian artist Katharina Wenty leads through the evening, the moderation is in English and English subtitles will be provided also via screen-projection during the live performances.

Revamped in February 2017, the newly designed and renamed Lokál is capable of hosting 300 people. It’s the perfect alternative to the two concert halls of Akvárium Klub with its beautiful and unique cocktails, impressive interior design and special parties hosted every Friday and Saturday night. The room can be utilized without a sound limit!
