Acoustic concerts by Boris Grebenshchikov and BG+
Because of tragic events in Ukraine, in the year of its 50th anniversary, Aquarium stopped its live shows. To not leave ourselves and the audience completely without music for this indefinite period, acoustic lineup named “BG+” will appear on the stage.
The first concert of this underground formation took place on March 2, 2022 at the legendary Troubadour club in London, where English folk was born in the 50s; Bob Dylan and Paul Simon, yet unknown, played in the early 60s; and Jimi Hendrix a bit later.
And in May, BG+ live tour began around the world, each of the performances being another statement of musicians against the war. You should expect surprises at these shows. The program will include “Aquarium” classics as well as completely new songs by Boris Grebenshchikov.
The lineup will vary from concert to concert, but its backbone, in addition to BG, will be Alexander Titov on bass, keyboardist Konstantin Tumanov and flutist Brian Finnegan. For some shows, they will be joined by percussionists Liam Bradley and Gleb Grebenshchikov, as well as violinist Andrey Surotdinov.
Beyond its elegant and attractive design, the club’s main hall features a unique sound system and optionally configurable spatial elements. The Main Hall is the perfect venue for professional stage productions, fashion shows, major concerts, conferences, seated and gala events as well as car shows. Its unique sound system and sound insulation makes the Main Hall of Akvárium Klub one of the best concert halls in the city. The concert hall can be utilized without a sound limit!
