DJ Premier, one of the greatest figures in hip-hop history, is coming to Budapest on June 2!
Gang Starr was one of the most cult hip-hop groups of the nineties, along with Cypress Hill, A Tribe Called Quest and Das EFX.
Behind Guru, Gang Starr’s DJ Premier, who is now one of the most important figures in hip-hop, made his debut in this duo.
The aggressive and raw soundscape of Premier tracks is unmistakable, in which loops and heavy scratches collide,
evoking Brooklyn vibes more than anyone else.
Premier was responsible for the sound of artists such as Nas, Jay Z, Snoop Dogg, Mos Def, or The Notorious B.I.G..
In June, we will be able to hear his best music at Akvárium Klub, with which he shaped the style and defined the Brooklyn hip-hop scene.
