Imagine a rock band whose members include musicians with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and autism. Those who were born to be artists and refuse to accept that anything limits the realization of their dreams. A group with more than 25 years of band experience, weekly rehearsals, more than 200 performances, line-up changes due to health problems of some members, but persistently dreamed of a full band life: album release, tour, festival performances, radio hits, TV appearances, collaborations with other professional musicians. Well, that wish came true at the end of 2021. When the punk rocker Vitor Torpedo, the eclectic one-man band Surma and the indie producer Rui Gaspar joined the band. They then recorded their debut album together with the support of the APPC (Coimbra Cerebral Palsy Association) and finalized the full band line-up (with guest musicians on board) to embark on a national tour. Now it’s not about music therapy, it’s not about social inclusion, it’s about real participation, love of music, will power and a real band that has to work harder to overcome the obstacles they face.
Apart from hosting concerts and electronic music events, it’s an ideal venue for conferences, exhibitions, seated and gala events, product demonstrations, family events and miscellaneous corporate events. The hall can be utilized without a sound limit!
