Dirty Honey return to Hungary with a new album
American rock band Dirty Honey will perform at Akvárium Klub on 17 February 2027. For their second Hungarian concert, they will bring songs from their latest album, Catch My Butterfly, due for release in January.
Nearly three years after their previous visit, Los Angeles rockers Dirty Honey – Marc LaBelle (vocals), John Notto (guitar) and Justin Smolian (bass) – will return to Budapest. In 2024, they brought their second full-length album to Hungary; in 2027, they return with their third. The Lights Out tour will reach Hungarian fans one month after the release of Catch My Butterfly.
Working with renowned producer John Feldmann (Yungblud, blink-182, Korn), the band have created a dynamic, dangerous and defining album, from which two songs are already available. The title track of the tour, Lights Out, opens the album with dramatic momentum, and was met with huge enthusiasm from fans as a standalone single.
“The message is that you’ve got to live now because one day you’re gonna die,” says Marc LaBelle of the song. Alongside its driving guitar riffs and propulsive rhythm, it carries an existential warning: the lyrics suggest it is best to be prepared, because the lights will soon be going out.
The already-released Butterfly reveals an entirely different side of the album, with melancholic acoustic guitar and delicate strings giving the song its wings. Here, LaBelle showcases the more soulful side of his voice. The song’s sunlit arrangement stands in sharp contrast to the intensity of its subject matter: its lyrics explore the worry of having a family member struggling with addiction.
Dirty Honey’s story truly took off in 2019, when their song When I’m Gone reached the top of Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs chart. In doing so, they became the first unsigned act to lead the chart. Years later, in 2025, a new version of the song also appeared in the record-breaking film A Minecraft Movie.
The band released their debut full-length album, Dirty Honey, in 2021, followed by Can’t Find The Brakes in 2023. Since then, Dirty Honey have toured with, among others, Guns N’ Roses and The Black Crowes, while also filling concert venues on their own headline tours.
On 17 February 2027, Dirty Honey will perform songs from Catch My Butterfly live at Akvárium Klub. Alongside material from the new album, the Lights Out tour will bring fan favourites from their earlier records to Hungary, promising a powerful rock show for both long-time and future fans.
