THY CATAFALQUE – Live for the first time in Budapest
So here is what we’ve been waiting for so long since the concert of ’Mezolit – Tales from Thy Catafalque’. The band will perform on the stage as a group with permanent members on April 30 in Budapest, at Akvárium Klub.
The underground music scene has been loud from the success of the gig at Fekete Zaj Festival in 2021, showcasing Thy Catafalque’s more than 20 years of work with the contribution of 26 musicians and a crew of 16. Thy Catafalque was born in 1998, rooted in black metal but operating with unusual elements and apostrophized as avant-garde metal by Tamás Kátai. He has been creating this unique world throughout 10 albums pulling the listener into his world immediately. The Mezolit gig brought this oeuvre to life in a one and a half hour performance with guest musicians – but the story doesn’t end here.
Thy Catafalque is now solidified in permanent live lineup and will be performing for the first time on April 30 in Budapest, organized by Fekete Zaj.
Beyond its elegant and attractive design, the club’s main hall features a unique sound system and optionally configurable spatial elements. The Main Hall is the perfect venue for professional stage productions, fashion shows, major concerts, conferences, seated and gala events as well as car shows. Its unique sound system and sound insulation makes the Main Hall of Akvárium Klub one of the best concert halls in the city. The concert hall can be utilized without a sound limit!
